Gary Edwin Polston 
October 8, 1946 - August 30, 2005 

Gone Fishing! Our Father returned home to his Heavenly Father and many loved 
ones including his parents, Phenix P. Polston and Mildred Z. Polston and elder 
brother, Butch Polston. He is survived by wife, Sally Falcon; his sisters, 
Joann Abernathy, Florine Canode and Patricia Sanders; sons, Anthony E. Polston 
and Scott W. Polston; daughters, Ixchelle N. Waite and Jill Burt; 11 beautiful 
grandchildren; his loving friend, Julie Estrada and many family and friends. 
Dad served his country in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. He retired from 
Southern Pacific Railroad after 25 years of service. Dad had many hobbies 
which included his love for fishing, gardening, cooking, oldies music and 
yearly BC Renegade football games. Dads sense of humor and giving heart will 
be greatly missed by many. We love you Dad! A special thanks to Dr. Ravi Patel 
and the CBCC Staff for their unconditional love and support for our father, 
Gary Polston. Visitation begins Thursday, September 1, from 5-8 p.m., at Kern 
River Family Mortuary, 1900 N. Chester Ave. with a chapel service Friday, 
September 2, 10:00 a.m., at Kern River Family Mortuary. A graveside to follow 
at Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery.
