Paul Eugene Quillen
Services: Friday, April 22, 11 a.m.

Paul Eugene Quillen, a resident of Bakersfield for 25 years, died Sunday, 
April 17, at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. 

He was born on March 12, 1933, in Norwood, MO, to Hugh and Vada Quillen. Paul 
married Nancy LaVon Beasley on June 5, 1954, in Tulare. He served in the 
United States Army from 1953 through 1955 and was employed with Southern 
Pacific Railroad for 38 years. In 1980, Paul and Nancy moved to Bakersfield, 
where they have been active at Olive Branch Community Church.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years and their son and daughter-in-law, Paul 
and Debra Quillen of Chino Hills; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dan 
Hoffman of Bakersfield; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Lourie Quillen of 
Bakersfield; eight grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. Paul is also 
survived by his sister, Glenda Baxter of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sister, Susan 
Gemmell of Porterville, many extended family members and numerous dear friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Pauls life will be held at Olive Branch 
Community Church, 1304 Oildale Drive, at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, April 22, 
2005.
