He loved going to school as a child, his favorite subject was Math. Luis enjoyed his sisters fussing over his hair and clothes in the morning. He looked up to his brothers, thinking they were just like superman. Luis took wrestling and gymnastics in school, he also earned a Black Belt in both Karate and Judo. He was a hard worker from the day he was born, from the cotton fields to the battlefields of Vietnam. Luis was point man on several recon missions, and he was wounded in action. He received numerous certificates and medals from the Armed Forces. You would never know by the letters to his mother and sisters that he was in any danger at all, because he didnt want them to worry. When he returned home he was introduced to Petra Chavez, who he married on July 7, 1973. The two spent 15 years making a home before filling it with the love of their life together, their daughter, Camila. Luis and Camila were inseparable, where one lead the other would sure follow. They started life together reading Goosebumps and ended up doing High School reports 17 years later, which they received many As on. Luis spent 15 years at Kern Medical Center gathering much loved friends throughout his career. These are the friends that were so kind to his family in time of sorrow, Thank you so much. His family and friends meant everything to him and we will miss him greatly. Luis is preceded in death by his siblings, Daniel Ramirez, Delores Gonzales and Camila Galindo. He leaves behind his wife, Petra; daughter, Camila Ramirez; siblings, Juanita Robles, John Ramirez, Clarence Ramirez, Helen Ibarra and Sara Ramirez.
