Pastor Ken Hosman and the Kern County Associated Veterans will officiate with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Redding was born February 13, 1932 in Fort Lupton, Colorado and had been a resident of Bakersfield for 14 years. Before retiring, he had been an electrician for 32 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bobbie and a son, Gordon Redding. Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Redding of Bakersfield; sons, Doug Redding and his wife, Kelly, of Riverside, and Ken Redding of Costa Mesa; sisters, Barbara of Thousand Oaks and Geri of Simi Valley; daughter-in-law, Cheri Redding of Spokane, WA; five grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. He was the kindest, most intelligent man and most loving. He had patience to repair anything. He enjoyed working on computers. The last 14 years he did everything he could to make his wife Betty happy and comfortable.
