Eugene William Rohde 
April 1, 1926 - October 16, 2005 

A memorial service and reception will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 
22nd, 2005 at The Elks Lodge 1616 30th St. Eugene Rohde died October 16, 2005 
after a short illness. He had lived in Bakersfield since 1970 after retiring 
from Shell Oil. Together with his late wife, Mary Ann, they owned and operated 
ACE Hall Car Wash for many years. He loved fishing, camping and traveling in 
his motor home. He was an active member of the Elks Club. He was a loving 
father to his children and enriched the lives of his grandchildren. Gene is 
preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann; and daughter, Susan Rohde. He is 
survived by his son, Bruce of Fresno; and 6 stepchildren, Michael Pence, Kathy 
Shields, Carol Pence, Kim Wittgraf and his son-in-law, Mark Wittgraf, Arvella 
Lancaster, Paul Pence and 11 grandchildren.
