Ruese, Virginia Lavigne     
1925 - 2006 
 
Virginia Lavigne Ruese 

Passed away at home in Bakersfield, CA in the presence of her loving family on 
January 10, 2006. Born on December 21, 1925 in the Province of Ontario, Canada 
she was a resident of California for the past 60 plus years. She was preceded 
in death by her husband Clayton Ruese, her brother Leslie and sister Patsy. 
She is survived by her children, Lynda Gridley, Denise Paup, Kenneth Ruese and 
Kathy Wautlet. She was Mamere (grandmother) to many grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. We will all cherish our memories of her and miss her joy of 
life especially at holidays when she treasured bringing the family together. 
She enjoyed decorating her home and volunteered at Mercy hospital in earlier 
years. Memorial services will be held later this year.
