Jan. 4, 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Remus Alves Rush, 83, who passed away December 29, 2005, in Bakersfield. Rev. Mark Lawrence will officiate. Mr. Rush was born on February 7, 1922, in Coalinga, California. He had worked in the oilfields for 30 years and for the Panama School District for 10 years before retiring in 1986. He was an Army veteran serving in World War II, stationed in France and Germany. He earned the bronze star among numerous other medals. He also served in the Air Corp for two years. Mr. Rush was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Rush is survived by his wife Joyce Rush; daughters Karen (Lowell) Dunn of Fallbrook, CA and Chanda Rush of Bakersfield; sons Kent (Debby) Rush of Santa Ana, Kevin (Aurora) Rush and Brian Rush both of Bakersfield; stepchildren Kathleen Mota, Karen Martinez and Henry Miller all of Bakersfield; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters Helen McNaughton of Palm Springs and June Lindsay of Missouri; brother Leon Rush of Utah and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Rush loved his family dearly. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mission Ministries, P O Box 10044, Costa Mesa, Ca 92626. Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:00 - 8:00 p. m.
