She attended local schools and graduated with the Class of 52 from BHS. Dixie spent many years in the medical field as a pharmacy tech and office manager for Medical Pharmacy, Option Care and Norrell Health Care. She was also the proud owner/operator of Nanas Day Care for several years. Her parents and her brother, Donald Radon predeceased Dixie. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Jim Bewley; her four (4) wonderful children: daughter, Catherine; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Teri Bewley, Chris and Terri Bewley, Andrew and Pamela Bewley. Dixie was the proud Nana to her nine beautiful grandchildren: TJ, Megan, Daniel, Christopher, Kelleigh, William, Jacqueline, Chase and precious Emma; her niece, Lynda Pugh; nephews, Rick and Steven Michael Radon and their spouses also survive Dixie. Dixies life was filled with a host of great friends. Mary Jo Buckle, her lifelong best friend, Ann Williams, Gaye Koepp, Shella Mackay, all from her Class of 1952 that cared for her during her bout with cancer. Bruce and Sharon (one of Dixies best friends) Christensen, who spend two weeks with her during her chemo down weeks, Chip and Kim Carter, whose cards and letters were a constant source of humor and enjoyment. Bob and Vinnie Dickie and the rest of the JCI Over-the-Hill Gang of So. Calif. that she thoroughly enjoyed. Dixie was very active in Curves and had a wonderful group of friends, including Ruby Steinberg and Jeanne Snyder. The entire list of people whose lives were impacted by Dixie would be too voluminous to try to list. Dixie asked that no services be planned or observed. Her only request was to have a Celebration of her Life, which will be planned shortly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society.
