Pork always said he was a stump jumper from the hills of Indiana. He graduated from Ann Arbor High School, in Michigan, in 1934, and from the University of Michigan Management Training School. During the Big War, WWII, he worked in the Bomber Plant in Willow Run, Michigan. He then entered the automobile industry. That industry brought him to Bakersfield in 1963. In 1971, he joined his son, Gaius, in Reynolds Trophy Shop, and retired from there in 1983. He was active in many community organizations and a Lifer with the Bakersfield Breakfast Lions. His love of over 67 years, Peg, preceded him in joining the Lord, on May 15, 2005. Their goal was to be together forever. They made it! Pork is survived by a daughter, Pam Bradford; sons, Gaius and his wife, Sue, and Russ and his wife, Karen; grandchildren, Kim Saffeels, Jodi Estrada, Alycia Carmin, George Reynolds, Briana Reynolds, and Jennifer Reynolds; great grandchildren, Whitney and Kylee Saffeels, Jake, Kordell, and Colby Carmin, and Emma and Grayden (Bobo) Reynolds. Dad always put the Lord first, his wife and family next, and then, as he put it, the world, work and such. Dad wanted to thank all their friends who were always there for them. Over 40 years of treasured friendships. He Says, Adios To His Amigos! Services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Kern City Community Church, 1003 Pebble Beach Dr. in Kern City. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fellowship of Christian Firefighters, PO Box 901, Fort Collins, Colorado, 80522-0901. The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice.
