Pastor Roger Poppen will officiate. Reinald was born on June 16, 1921 in Buhler, Kansas and passed away at his home in Bakersfield on May 27, 2005. Reinald made Jesus Christ the Lord of his life at a young age. He graduated from Bell High School in Los Angeles. Reinald was baptized at the age of 18 and became a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church in Los Angeles where he met and married Martha Jean Hiebert on November 21, 1942. Reinald worked for Decca Records and later served in the Army Medical Corp during WWII before moving to Bakersfield and beginning a career with P.G.& E. that would last for 39 years. Reinald and Martha were blessed with three sons: Bill, Chuck, and Jeff. Reinald became a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church in Bakersfield and later Laureglen Bible Church. He had a life-long love of music and performed as a soloist and as a member of numerous quartets and mens vocal groups and choruses. He also loved sports, especially baseball and U.S.C. Trojan football. Reinald spent his retirement years holding hands with his wife of 62 years, traveling, working on home projects and attending his grandchildrens sports events. Reinald is preceded in death by his son, Chuck; sister, Dorothy; and brother, John. He is survived by his wife, Martha; sons, Bill and Jeff; daughters-in-law, Teddy, Coleen, Merrilyn; brothers, Vic, Don, Ed; sister, Cathy; grandchildren, Jon, Joe, Michael, David, Matthew, Isaac, Regan, Zoe, Danielle; and great-grand-children, Aiden, Tyson, Charles, Drew, Cayd and Michaela, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Laureglen Bible Church Missions.
