Parra June 28, 1945 - July 23, 2005 Lydia was born on June 28, 1945 in Guadalajara, Mexico to Panfilo Rodriguez and Carmen Medina. On July 23, 2005 she went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Lydia was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. After the passing of her husband, she committed her life to making sure her two children had everything they needed. She successfully gave them a good education and provided for them a loving Christian home. One of her greatest joys were her grandchildren, Jaeden and Alexa, for whom her eyes shined every time she saw them. The bond she had with her nephew, Sheldon Hill was very special and unique. She will always be remembered by her loved ones and friends as a kind, caring and cheerful person. She was last employed by Wm. Bolthouse Farms where she worked for more than 15 years. She enjoyed her job there where she made many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor Parra; brother, Joel Rodriguez and sister, Elvira Rodriguez. She is survived by her son, Victor Parra, his wife Dayla and grand- daughter, Alexa; daughter, Lydia Nicholson, her husband, Lynwood Nick Nicholson and grandson, Jaeden; sister, Esperanza Andino; brother, Saul Rodriguez of Guadalajara, Mexico; sister, Cruz Rodriguez of Guadalajara, Mexico; sister, Maria Parga of Montebello, CA; niece, Adriana Andino; nephew, Sheldon Hill and numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, cousins and friends. A special thank you to her sister, Esperanza Andino for being her best friend and always a big support in her life. Also, to her niece, Adriana Andino and Angelica Gely Rodriguez for the loving care given to her during her illness. The Parra family expresses heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their thoughts and prayers during the difficult time of her sudden illness. Viewing will be Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at Kern River Family Mortuary, 1900 N. Chester Ave., Oildale from 6:00 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2005, at Kern River Family Mortuary, at 10:00 a.m. Private interment to follow.
