Minnie Gilbert
July 7, 1917 - April 14, 2005

Minnie was born on July 7, 1917, to parents, William Roth and Elizabeth 
Andreas Roth, in Fresno, California. She went to be with her Lord on April 14, 
2005, at age 87, in Morro Bay, California. 

She was married to P.J. Gilbert on June 12, 1944, and was a homemaker for him 
until his death on July 21, 1990.

Minnie is best remembered for her exceptional gifts with flowers, including 
growing and arranging them.

Preceding Minnie in death were her father and mother; sisters, Lydia Linger, 
Rose Kanthack, and Anna Schengel; and brothers, Henry Roth and Elmer Roth.

She is survived by her son, Robert Bobby Gilbert and his wife, Penny; and 
daughter, Patricia Crooks. Other survivors include her brother, Leo Roth; her 
sister, Eleanor Gable; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great-
great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Bayside Care Center for their 
care, concern, and compassion for Minnie in her last days.

Graveside services will be held at the Tipton-Pixley Cemetery in Tipton, 
California, on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at 2 p.m.

In remembrance of Minnie, in lieu of flowers, she preferred contributions to 
your favorite charities.
