Joel Prendez Saenz

A graveside service will be conducted by Peters Funeral Home for Joel Saenz, 
age 68, on Monday, January 9, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., at Shafter Memorial Park. 
Joel was born on June 2, 1937, to Marco and Frances Saenz in Bakersfield, CA. 
He graduated from Shafter High School on June 7, 1956, and enlisted in the 
U.S. Navy in 1957, serving his country for the next 4 years. Joel was preceded 
in death by his parents, Marco and Frances Saenz; son, Michael Saenz; 
brothers, Marco Saenz, Jr. and Charlie Saenz. He is survived by his son, Andy 
Saenz; step-son, Ronnie Prendez; brothers, Robert and wife, Esther Saenz and 
Henry and wife, Jessie Saenz, all of Bakersfield; sister, Mariana Carrasco of 
Shafter; 6 grandchildren.
