Dortha J. Sanders 
May 11, 1927 - Jan. 4, 2006 

Viewing will be Monday, January 9, 2006, from 3-5 p.m. at Kern River Family 
Mortuary chapel, 1900 North Chester Ave., Oildale. Graveside service will be 
held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Dortha J. Sanders born May 
11, 1927 in Oklahoma and passed away January 4, 2006 in Bakersfield, 
California. Dortha married her sweetheart and her life dream partner, Kenneth 
J. Sanders, December 4th 1945, and were later blessed with 2 twin daughters. 
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Simmons and husband Richard, and Joann 
Pittit and husband Wade. 2 grandchildren, Debbie Frazure and husband Tim, 
Kenneth Mount and wife Bev. 3 great-grandchildren, Amber, Courtney, and 
Marissa. Dortha was a life long member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's 
Auxiliary for 39 years. Her ambition, no matter rain or holidays, the VFW must 
go on. She loved going to the functions and her cookie day and sewing club for 
the veterans. We will miss you dearly but you're with daddy now, and we will 
see you soon. Love You, Your Family
