Pastor Craig Amos of Arvin Assembly of God will officiate the service and interment will follow at South Kern Cemetery District, Arvin. Louise Scarbrough was born in Taft, CA, on February 18, 1917 to David and Annie Guthridge. She resided in Arvin since birth along with her family and attended local schools. In 1933 she married Milton B. Coday. In March 16, 1980, she married Huston Scarbrough and continued to live in the city of Arvin. One of her enjoyments was knitting Afghans, quilts, as well as, other arts and crafts. She also liked painting and spending time golfing. Louise was a faithful member of the Arvin Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed the church and did not want to give up her position as a church greeter. Louise was a great person and she will be greatly missed by everyone who loved her and knew her. She is survived by her husband, Huston Scarbrough of Lamont; her sons, Lynn and Mary Lee Coday of Lamont, and Mike and Connie Coday of Cambria, CA; her stepson, John and Arlene Scarbrough of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
