Nov. 26, 1:00 pm June was born in Fresno, CA on March 10, 1922. She went home to be with the Lord on November 21, 2005. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 26th, at Hillcrest Chapel, at 1:00 p.m. June is preceded in death by her mother, Jewell LeRoux and husbands, Marvin Schroer and Harold Sullivan. She is survived by her children, Jerry and Brenda Schroer, Sue and Bob Whitmore, Tom and Linda Schroer, Pat and Gary Orman, and Lisa and Craig Carter. June found great pleasure in her 13 grandchildren and never hesitated offering an up-to- date count of her 20 great-grandchildren plus one on the way. June moved from Fresno with her first husband Marvin in 1947 to open and manage Valley Glass Company at 9th and Chester. They were avid golfers. As members of Stockdale Country Club they enjoyed the friendships made on the course. June was honored to serve as a past President of the Stockdale Womens Association. After Marvins passing in 1968 she married Harold Sullivan. They became active with the Elks Lodge #266. They enjoyed traveling in their RV with the Elks Rovers. These past few years she always looked forward to her travel to Laughlin and Tuesday card games with the Ladies. She found true joy spending time at the familys cabin at Huntington Lake, playing cards and watching her family enjoy their time together. Many happy memories have been made. The most recent delight of her life was in taking her family on a cruise to Alaska at the age of 81. June worshipped the Lord Jesus and found that He provided her with great peace and mercy. Her hope in Him has been fulfilled. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Association. Visitation will be held Friday, November 25th, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Mortuary. Legacy.com Published in the Bakersfield Californian from 11/24/2005 - 11/25/2005.
