Sidney Calvin Shannon 
Jan. 13, 1957 - Sept. 28, 2005 

A memorial service will be held Monday, October 10, 2005, 1:00 p.m., at 
Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary. Sidney Calvin Shannon was born and raised 
in Bakersfield and worked in the oilfields. He is survived by his daughters, 
Rhondi, Amanda, Tiffany and Bobi; son, Sidney; grandchildren, Aubreanna, 
Zachary, Mariah and Isaiah; father, Jack Shannon; mother, Lenora Shannon 
(deceased); wife, Karen Shannon; longtime friend, Paula Edwards; sisters, 
Carol Sullivan, Nita Petty, Jo Evelyn Sullivan, Linda Geer, Gwenda Shannon 
(deceased) and Diane Shannon; brothers, Jerry and Charlie Shannon; numerous 
other relatives and friends. Sid is at peace with his mother and sister.
