Donna Sue Simpson 
8/17/1937 - 12/29/2005 

Donna Sue Simpson was born on August 17, 1937 in Roswell, NM to Lewis and Ruth 
Hickson and passed away on December 29, 2005 in Bakersfield. Donna came to 
Bakersfield as a young child, attended schools here and met her life partner, 
Jimmy Simpson. Jimmy considers himself a very lucky person to have found Donna 
and married her. She was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, mother, 
grandmother and friend. She was one of the sweetest persons to ever walk this 
earth and never had a cruel word to say about anyone. Donna loved to camp with 
family and friends at Silver Lake near Bishop. She took up golf later in life 
and loved it, also bowling and dancing. Donna is preceded in death by her 
father, Lewis Hickson; brother, Jimmy Lewis Hickson and sister, Mary Dell 
Chancellor. Survivors are her loving husband of 52 years, Jimmy Simpson; 
mother, Ruth Savage; daughter, Kathy Winter; sons, Douglas and Pam Simpson, 
Eric Simpson, Lance and Margie Simpson; sisters, Shirley and Rich Walker and 
Marion and Darwin Robertson; brother, Ronny and Pat Savage; grandchildren, 
Austin, Dessie, Jamie, Dylan and Sarah and a host of other family and friends. 
Chapel services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at 
Hillcrest Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., at 
Hillcrest Mortuary.
