Donald David Smith 
Feb. 2 1924 - Nov. 20, 2005 

Graveside services will be held for Donald David Smith on Monday, November 28, 
2005, at 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary. Don Smith was born 
in Chicago, Illinois, February 2, 1924. Don served in the Army Air Force 
during World War II. Don met the love of his life, Lorraine, and the two were 
married on March 27, 1943, in Joplin, Missouri. They enjoyed sixty years of 
marriage. Lorraine preceded Don in death in 2003. Don was employed by Pacific 
Bell for over thirty years until his retirement. Don and Larry enjoyed 
retirement years traveling to the east coast and cruises to various tropical 
islands. Don is survived by his sons, Bruce C. Smith, David R. Smith and wife, 
Margaret; grandsons, Christopher Smith and wife, Danisha Smith; Bryan Smith 
and Todd Smith; great-granddaughters, Anistashia and Savannah Smith; sister, 
Jean LaVassuer and Naomi Collier; numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and 
dear friends, Bob and Judy Campbell and Angie and Bill Gunther. Don was a 
wonderful and loving Husband, Father and Gramps to his family. He will be 
greatly missed.
