Hazel Maxine Wilson 
Services: Sat., Sept. 10, 10;00 a.m. 

Services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2005, 10:00 a.m., at Kern River 
Family Mortuary, 1900 N. Chester Ave., in Oildale.A graveside service will 
immediately follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary. Hazel went to Heaven 
to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 6, 2005. She was 86 years of age. 
Hazel was born on June 13, 1919, in Henderson, Arkansas to Claude Claxton 
Smith and Laura Ellen (Douglas) Smith. Hazel was the 6th child of 11 children 
born to Claude and Laura Smith. Hazel and Eldridge Valentine Wilson married in 
1937 in Baxter County, Arkansas and moved to Bakersfield in 1938. She was 
happy and contented to be a housewife and mother. She was a member of the 
Olive Knolls Nazarene Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies 
Auxiliary/Oildale Branch. She is survived by two daughters, Carol and her 
husband, Floyd Renfrow; Shirley and her husband, Don Lemon; sister and brother-
in-law, Mary Mazie and Joe Kenneth Holstine of Bakersfield, Missouri; numerous 
and very loved sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, 
aunts, uncles; grandchildren, Michael Lance Renfrow and his wife, Denise; Roy 
Claxton Wilson, Jr. and wife, Lori; Kevin Glenn Renfrow; Dan Wayne Lemon and 
wife, Kathy; Tim Scott Lemon and wife, Sue; Todd Allen Wilson and son, Joseph; 
great-grandchildren, Mathew Lemon, Jacob Lemon, Sydney Lemon, Taylor Lemon, 
Brittany Renfrow, Brianna Renfrow, Nicole Maxine Osborn, Christopher John 
Bagaso, Joseph Michael Tillman, Raylene Camboa and Ryan Wilson; three great-
great-grandchildren, Jake, Gerrette and Gage. Already in Heaven and there to 
welcome her were: husband, Eldridge Valentine Wilson; son, Roy Claxton Wilson; 
father and mother, Claude and Laura Smith; 9 brothers and sisters, Nell 
Arnett, Clyde Jim Smith, Woodrow Smith, Gladys Hall, Neva Moody, Don Smith, 
Joe Smith, Addie Halford and John Delbert Smith; granddaughter, Halley Maxine 
Osborn.
