Himmat Singh Sohal 
4/1/1955 - 10/14/2005 

Services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at 
Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield. Himmat was born 
in Punjab, India. He immigrated to this country in 1988, and proudly took the 
oath of American citizenship in 2003. He married Kamaljit Kaur in 1984 and 
together they had two sons. Himmat loved spending time with his family and 
friends. His motorcycle was his prized possession. Although he adopted this 
country as his own, he always retained a love for his traditional Punjabi 
culture. His sudden passing has stunned and devastated all those who knew and 
loved him. He is survived by his wife, Kamaljit Kaur; sons, Jagpreet Singh and 
Jaiveer Singh; mother, Gurbachan Kaur; father, Charan Singh (of India); 
brother, Karmjit Singh; sister-in-law, Katherine; nieces, Amber and India, and 
many cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives too numerous to mention 
residing here, in Canada, India and abroad. Visitation will be Friday, October 
21, 2005, at Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary from 4-9 p.m.
