Interment to follow service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., Bakersfield. Joshua went home to be with the Lord and join his brother in Heaven on October 20, 2005. He died tragically in an auto accident with his friend, Corey Wahl. The son of Marty Stancliff and Shelley Hatcher was born April 4, 1983, in Bakersfield. He attended local schools and became a Detention Deputy after he completed high school. He was recently employed at Lerdo Pretrial Facility since March 1, 2005. He loved his job and felt confidant that this was his future. Josh had many beloved friends who he enjoyed spending time with. Some of his favorite pastimes were skeet shooting, playing pool, video games, snowboarding, movies, golf and working on his 1965 trophy winning Oldsmobile Cutlass. He also enjoyed just hanging out with his friends. But the love of his life was his 2 year old son, Rudy. They were happy together washing his cars, barbecues with family or just shopping at Wal-Mart. Family always came first. He never missed an opportunity to hang out with Mom or Dad and he was always there to help out in time of need. Rudy will miss his Daddy. This makes it all too hard to understand but our faith assures us that future rewards will outweigh all present sufferings. Joshua attended Riverlakes Church and was baptized on March 5, 2000 with one of his best friends, Wes, and together they gave their lives to Jesus. Our hope lies in the fact that Gods grace reaches us, saves us and keeps us even when we fail, and when we die, that same amazing grace takes us home to Heaven. Joshua is preceded in death by his one brother, Jeremy Ray Stancliff; his grandfathers, Daniel P. OShea and Wilfred E. Stancliff. He is survived by his parents, Marty Stancliff and Shelley Hatcher; his beloved son, Rudy Ray Stancliff; stepmother, Dennise Stancliff and stepfather, Steve Hatcher; and his two sisters, Macey and Makenzie Stancliff; two nieces, Faith Stancliff Fuller and Alexis Jeanine McClure Stancliff; grandmothers and numerous aunts, all of Bakersfield; one uncle from Colorado and many cousins who were all loved by Joshua. No words can express our broken hearts. The Family would like to give special thanks to our church family at Riverlakes Church, the loving care of the Kern County Sheriffs Dept., our friends and community for all the prayers and support during this difficult time.
