She was 79 years of age at her passing. She was a resident of Kern County 58 years and both her and her husband a resident of the Kern Valley since the early 80's when he retired. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Poisson-Sanders, and Son-in-law, Gordon Sanders of Bodfish, California, Two Granddaughters, Carrie Puckett, and Kimberly Binet, One Great-Granddaughter, Ivy Andrews. One Sister, Sue Bruun and two brothers Jimmy Storie and Leroy Storie. Lena Jane Poisson, preferred to be called by "Jane". Even while sick in the hospital many times, she commented I go by Jane which became a joke. She moved out on her own to meet up with her family moving out to California in 1947 from Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born in Hartselle, Alabama on Sept. 6, 1926 to the parents of Lee and Perlina Storie. She met her husband, Albert Eugene Poisson from Chassell, Michigan, in McFarland, California in 1947. They were married on July 8, 1948. They were married for 55 years before her husbands passing. Jane had lost her husband a year ago last June 15, 2004 and had had many medical problems but her family, above all brought her much happiness and above all her daughter and Grandchildren and Great Grand Child, Ivy Andrews, age 6 were her Miracles she always said. Jane had been a homemaker most of her life. However, she did pick cotton and run the tomato machinesoften out on the ranch her husband was Superintendent for, outside of Bakersfield, for some 45 years. She was a very loving, mom, wife, grandmother , great grandmother, sister and true friend to many who will miss her very much more than words can express. She always helped someone in any way she could. She was always lending a hand out to someone in need. Jane was also in many Womens Pool Tournaments in the Lake Isabella area and other counties for many years after her and her husband retired and moved up to Bodfish in the mid 80s. She won 15 trophies for 1St and 2nd place in her accomplishments. She was a avid lover of gospel, bluegrass , and country music. She always had the radio on or playing her records or tapes as long as her daughter could remember, whether it was in the car or in the house. I recall as a child,us singing in the car together going down the road to the radio, or to any song her daughter recalled. She loved to play the guitar as well. Our whole family feels very privileged to have been her daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter. Because that's the other thing about obituaries or funeral services; Those who have gone can still inspire us as we learn from their stories. That's why it's important to tell those stories, and to REMEMBER , quotes her daughter, Sherry. As inscribed on their double headstone, Together Forever, tells it all. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people such as Dr. Jack Nadler and staff in Mt. Mesa, Dr. Varanasi in Bakersfield, Dr. Paw , Bakerfield Heart Hospital, The Heart Hospital and all staff in CCU, The Kern Valley ER, staff and Hospital. We'd also like to thank all the friends and relatives for their support, for their prayers and many beautiful flowers and plants. Revelation 21:4 (KJV) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
