He died of failure of the liver due to complications from pancreatic cancer. He is survived by many loving members of his family. His wife, Mary Elizabeth Stuart, oldest son Seth Hunter Stuart and youngest son Russell Scott Stuart. He is also survived by his mother Rebecca Lounsbury and step father Butch, father Charles Stuart and wife Ann Stuart, youngest brother, Matthew. He is preceded in death by his younger sister Sallie Virginia Margerita Stuart, who also passed away last year from cancer. They are now reunited in joy and love and we the family are so comforted by this knowledge. Other surviving siblings are brother Charlie Stuart, brother James Stuart, sister Rebecca Deneke, brother Wesley Lounsbury, and sisters Rosa Stuart-Willis and Linda Nella. Also his beloved neices and nephews, Ashley, Chase, Jared, and Lauren Stuart. He has many other beloved neices and nephews who all loved David as well. David was a man who loved all, who served all that he could and was a wonderful and cherished husband and father. He loved the Lord and strove to give as he did. He was not afraid to show love and was very unique in every aspect of his life. He was known to family and friends as one who could be counted on to come to the rescue and he was always ready to work and serve at a moments notice. He had a wonderful sense of humor that was never ending in its sponteneity and timing. David was an example to those who knew him and those who were only acquainted with him. He will be missed and remembered forever. We know he is now enjoying and living the rewards of a life well lived in the service of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." Services for David Thrift Stuart will be held on March 25, Saturday, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 4100 Pine Oak Park Blvd. Bakersfield, California.
