Rev. Ricardo Megdaleno will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park. Mrs. Ruiz was born on March 30, 1937 in Bakersfield, California and resided in Kern County for most of her life. She had an open door policy and was available to help, for advise, or just a strong shoulder to lean on for all who had the honor to know her. Her greatest joys were cooking for her family and going to Bingo or the Casinos. Mrs. Ruiz was preceded in death by her father, Francisco Sanchez; mother, Maria Sanchez; and brother, Phillip Sanchez. She is survived by her husband, Salvador Ruiz of 29 years; her sons and daughter-in-law, George and Mary Lou " Licha" Zaragoza, Mario and Anna Zaragoza, Robert and Kimberly Zaragoza; daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer and Albert Perez, Adela and Gerald Rojas, Marycela and Jose Luis Tamez; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and brother, Frank Sanchez, sisters and brother-in-law, Anita Salazar, Linda Sanchez; Maria and Antonio Chavez. Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Many friends especially her best friend, Caroline Sanchez. A special thanks to Dr. Saiki, Dr. Tang, Dr. Chowdhury, Dr. Bhambi, Bakersfield Heart Hospital, Gambro Healthcare, Central Nephrology and optimal Hospice. Casket bearers will be Mario Zaragoza, Robert Zaragoza, Dean Evans, Phillip Zaragoza, Joseph Rojas, Jose Armando Tamez. Honorary casket bearers will be Armando Ozuna, Robert Zaragoza Jr., Ruben Zaragoza. As per her request visitation is limited to family only. After the interment, please join us at our parents home for fellowship and a celebration of her everlasting life.
