San Miguel Nov. 1, 1923 Mar. 15, 2005 Rosary will be recited Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel, 9101 Kern Canyon Road. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at San Clemente Mission, 1305 Water. Interment will follow after Mass at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Henry was born in Pasadena, California in 1923. He was second in a family of ten brothers and sisters. He moved with his family to Bakersfield, CA in 1928. Henry was a graduate of the first graduating class of East Bakersfield High School in 1941. All of his four children graduated from East High as well. Dad served in the United States Army in WWII in the Philippines and New Guinea. Shortly after he was employed with Pacific Fruit Express Co. for Southern Pacific Railroad. He was a very dedicated, hardworker who enjoyed his job for 40 years. Dad also loved to keep himself busy which was evident by him being a Landlord for many years. He was a widower for seven years after his beloved wife, Armida passed away in 1997. He is survived by his four children, Henry, Sylvia, Albert and George and six grandchildren; sisters, Petra Zamora, Helen Saldana, Vera Hughes, and Lupe Kovachny; brothers, John, Louie, Paul, Richard and Manuel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was a very kind and loving Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend. He very much enjoyed doing family activities and just loved being with his grandchildren.
