Viewing and visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Greenlawn Mortuary, 3700 River Blvd. Rosary will take place at that location on Thursday, at 7 p.m. Connie was born in El Paso, Texas, on December 8, 1922. She passed away in Bakersfield last Saturday from natural causes, with diabetes complications. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Belisario Savedra; daughter, Yolanda Nunez and son, Bill Savedra Jr. Her survivors include daughters, Esther Kirkpatrick, Frances Fullerton and Mercedes Bentley. Her sons are Richard and Robert Savedra. Her loving sister, Beatrice Mata, resides in Elk Grove. Connie was also blessed with 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, including Lola Estrada. The family wishes to express special thanks to granddaughter, Carla Prieto, who devoted the past year of her life to loving, daily caregiving; special thanks are also extended to Dr. Hemmal S. Kothary, for his compsssionate care. Connie will be remembered most for the love she showered upon all friends and family members. Her sincerity in expressing that love was nothing short of genuine, to be sure. She, too, was a caregiver in life, as well as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
