She had been employed by Semitropic Water Storage District for the past 22 years until the Good Lord decided he needed a very special Accounts Clerk and called her home. Deanna was a focused, but fun loving lady who loved to laugh, go camping, fish and being part of the Winer's Group, a motley collection of friends who took great pleasure partaking and extolling the virtues of the Central Coast wines. Anyone that needed anything - Deanna was there to help in anyway she could. She leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, companion, and best friend of a way too short 13 years; daughter, Janice Perekrestenko and her family, husband Rod, and Marcus and Tanya of Greeley, CO; daughter, Missy Payne of Konawa, OK; nephews, Bruce McDowell, Mark McDowell and his wife, Audrey of Bakersfield; their father, John McDowell, Wasco; and, son- and daughter-in-law, Michael and Melissa Franks and their children, Chris, Jenny, Steven and Connie, Bakersfield. She also leaves behind Aunt Maggie Holland, Steamboat Springs and her daughter, Peggy Gourley of Baggs, WY. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Frances Schaefermeyer, and sister, Claire McDowell of Wasco. A Memorial Service is pending at a later date.
