Fr. John Fluetsch will officiate and interment will follow at Wasco Memorial Park. Stephen Schroeder was born on April 19, 1962 in Wasco, CA, the son of Raymond and Mary Schroeder. He attended St. Johns Catholic School, graduated from Wasco High School with the Class of 1980 and attended college in San Diego. He had been a mechanic for 15 years with Alexander Farms, Lowe Bros. and Frito Lay. He enjoyed his family and especially family gatherings. In his younger years, he raised snakes and mice and loved animals, especially his dogs. Stephen is survived by his mother, Mary Schroeder of Wasco; son, Stephen Ray of Wasco, the most important relationship in his life; brother, Phillip Schroeder and wife, Gwen; sisters, Karen Westbrook and husband, Rick, Chris Preston and husband, Bill, Francine Frassel and husband, Jack and Susan Lowe; companion, Cindy Roberts of Wasco; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Schroeder in 2004 and his nephew, Phillip Frassel in 1998. Donations may be made to St. Johns School in Wasco.
