Willard was born in Clinton, MO, but spent the greater part of his life in California where he met and married his beloved wife, Georgia, in 1939. Willard served his country in the Army during WWII. After being honorably discharged from the service, Willard and Georgia started their family. They owned a small country grocery store and then moved to northern California where they owned and operated a vineyard and orchard. Later Willard went into sales and retired from Kern Wholesale Company in 1978. Willard is survived by his wife, Georgia; his sister, Leota Hunt of Butler, MO; and his three sons, Martin of Coos Bay, Oregon, Randy of Bakersfield, and Brian of Reno, Nevada; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him very much. A private family service will be conducted for Willard followed by interment of his ashes at the Union Cemetery.
