Anna was a long-time resident of Bakersfield, CA where she graduated from Kern County High School in 1935. She enjoyed her life in Bakersfield which kept her close to long-time friends and family. Anna had a kind heart, she loved to travel, read, and, of course, her cats. She is survived by sisters, Mary Ellen Spellman of Fair Oaks, CA, and Betty Johnson of Sun City West, AZ; and her brother, Fred E. Smith, Jr. of Bakersfield, CA. Anna is also survived by her nieces and nephew, Linda Leonard, Bonnie Rico, Fred Smith, Tina Hubbard and Ann Dobek. The family wishes to give their warmest thanks to the wonderful and hard working staff at FountainWood for their kindness and devotion, as well as Hospice for their compassionate care. Anna will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery, River Blvd., Bakersfield; no service is planned. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are asked to please just fondly remember your times with Anna.
