William (Lee) Smith 
1911 - 2005 

Lee was born on June 13, 1911 and passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2005. Lee 
was a member of Electricians Union Local 428 for over 60 years. He was an avid 
hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed shooting his guns, and was active until he 
broke his hip on July 4th weekend. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 
years, Elsie; his brothers, Lawrence and Fred Smith. Survivors are his other 
brother, Eugene and his wife, Jean Smith of Pioneer, CA; 2 daughters, Sharon 
Smith and her husband, Ron, and Charlice Smith of Coquille, Oregon; stepson, 
George Wiley and his wife, Dorothy of Bakersfield; 3 grandsons, Darren, Brian 
and Mark and their families; also many friends including Buddy and Cyrus 
Spears, and good friend, Brenda Berckenhoff. Graveside services will be held 
Friday, August 12, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation 
begins Thursday, August 11, 2005, from 4-8 p.m., also at Hillcrest Mortuary.
