He spent his childhood moving to numerous places while helping take care of his younger siblings. He was the oldest of eight children so he had quite a job to do. In 1965 James made a big decision and left his family to be a part of the Marine Corps. During his time as a Marine he served three tours, a total of thirty-eight months in Vietnam until his time of discharge in 1970. Just a few years after leaving the military he met and married his wife Debbie and together they raised three children. James spent his life as a hard working truck driver for thirty years. Being a truck driver meant spending a lot of time on the road and a lot of time away from his family. But when he was home he enjoyed spending time with his family, which included his grandchildren who brought so much joy in to his life. He also spent many years involved in church and was a member and officer of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. James is survived by his four children and six grandchildren: oldest son, William A. Moss; son and daughter-in-law, James and Cathy Moffett and kids, Brittany, Taylor, and Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Janetta Snow and kids, Bri-Leigh, Scotlyn, and Ryder; and his daughter, Denice Snow; his mother, Blanche Fairchild; sisters include Patricia Ashlock and family, Brenda Jones and family, Kelly Sorensen and family, and Shelly Waidley and family; brothers include Donald Snow and family, Richard Snow and family, and Andrew Snow and Family; sister-in-law includes Darla OShea and family; and niece, Nichole and husband, Lynn Duke; and nephew, Grant Carlson. Extended family members include longtime family friend and fiancée, Myrtle Ann Moss, her mother, Myrtle Ann Wright; soon to be stepson and daughter-in-law, Mike and Heather Paccini and their kids, Michelle and sons, Dustin, Austyn, Bryce, and Tehgan, who he had become to know and love as his grandkids. Also soon to be step daughters, Winnie Moss and Melinda Moss and family. James was preceded in death by his father, James Howard Snow; his wife of 29 years Deborah Ann Snow; and sister-in-law, Denice A. Carlson. James spent his last year living in Oregon where he had taken up many new activities including golf, which he loved. He loved everything thing about being in Oregon. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!!!
