Robert Allen Soden 
Nov. 14, 1918 - Aug. 14, 2005 

Robert Soden was the founder and owner of Fongeo Kennels, where he trained 
dogs for over fifty-six years. Robert was a member of the local VFW and 
American Legion Post. His love of hunting, fishing, riding horses and packing 
into the mountains also gave him great pleasure. He was a man who knew his own 
mind and spoke it without reservation. Robert will always be remembered with 
love and fondness for his training ability of the dogs and their owners and 
the many lives that were changed due to his influence over them. He worked for 
Coca-Cola for forty- five years and was the founder of Cast Away Golfers for 
13 years. Robert is survived by his wife of 65 years, Kathryn Soden; son, Ron 
Soden and wife, Doris; granddaughter, Joy Moss and husband, Bruce; grandson, 
Ron R. Soden and great-grandson Robert Counts, all of Bakersfield. At his 
request no visitation or services will be held.
