Otilia Mendoza 
Feb. 20, 1910 - Aug. 13, 2005 

Recitation of the Rosary was held on August 15, 2005, at 6:00 p.m. at 
Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Lane, and Funeral Service 
will be held today, August 16, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. in Greenlawn Southwest 
Memorial Chapel. Monsignor Ronald J. Swett will officiate. Otilia was born on 
February 20, 1910 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Albino and Anastacia Sosa and 
she passed away on August 13, 2005. Otilia was a very interactive and sociable 
person, she was member of El Circuló Social, Mr. & Mrs. Club, and Black & 
White Club. She also played on the Greenwood baseball team, Senior Citizen 
League in Texas. She loved to travel and volunteered at the Salvation Army for 
many years. Even at an advanced age, Otilia still was willing to go the extra 
mile of learning to rock climb and be with her grandchildren. Mom was true 
artist and seamstress, she will be greatly missed. Otilia was preceded in 
death by her husband, Ponciano P. Mendoza and daughter, Anna M. Arment. She is 
survived by her daughters, Maria T. Garcia of Texas, Gloria Moreno of 
Bakersfield, Ramona L. Ingram of Bakersfield, Maria Del Rosario de Cuhna of 
Texas, Arminda Garza of Bakersfield, Clara H. Mucciancciaro of Texas, Petra 
Scott of Nevada and sister, Josefina Ornelas of Texas; 20 grandchildren and 
numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
