Elnora Jean Doty 
August 24, 1938 - July 13, 2005 

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 19, 10:00 a.m., at Christ the King 
Church. Elnora was born in Los Angeles, California, on August 24, 1938 and had 
been a resident in Oildale for 39 years until her passing on July 13, 2005. 
She married John Doty, Sr., in June 1955; and was an active member of Christ 
the King Womens Guild for many years. Most of all, she was a wonderful Mother, 
Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. Elnora was preceded in death by her 
parents, M.T. Steinmetz, Jr. and Dorothy Wick Steinmetz and a daughter, Sheila 
Elaine Doty. She is survived by 2 brothers, Michael Steinmetz of Ridgecrest, 
CA and Mathew Steinmetz of Bakersfield, CA; a sister, Elaine Kuhlman of Trona, 
CA; her five children, Alice Shue of Darlington, IN, Sarah Wagner of 
Crawfordsville, IN, John Doty, Jr. of Peru, IN, Andrew Doty of Richmond, KY 
and Dorothy Gevers of Colfax, IN, as well as 13 grandchildren and 1 great-
grandchild. Elnora will be lovingly remembered.
