Doris Opal Stringfield 
October 4, 1931 - August 15, 2005 

Private graveside services were held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River 
Blvd., for Doris Opal Stringfield, 73, former Bakersfield resident, who passed 
away August 15, 2005 at her home in Anaheim. Mrs. Stringfield was born October 
4, 1931 in Bakersfield. She attended Roosevelt Elementary, Emerson Junior 
High, Bakersfield High School and Bakersfield Junior College before graduating 
from Fresno State. She had been a teacher for many years, having taught three 
years in Wasco and 40 years for the Hacienda La Puente School District. She 
was a member of the First Christian Church of Anaheim, the California 
Teacher's Association and the N.E.A. She is survived by her two children, 
Warren Stringfield and Kathy Fernandez; several grandchildren and nieces and 
family.
