Addison A. Talbot Jr. 
Oct. 22, 1906 - Sept. 20, 2005 

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 24th, at 10:00 a.m., at the Mish 
Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A man 
who loved the Lord with all of his heart. He is survived by his wife of 26 
years, Dorothy Talbot. Addison was born in Tsingkiangpu, China to missionary 
parents, Addison A. Talbot and Katherine Bird Talbot. He graduated from 
Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA with a Bachelor of Divinity 
Degree. He married Clara Carpenter in 1942 and they had 10 children. Surviving 
children: Kathy Becker and husband, Dennis, Gay Smith, Helen Bahneman, 
Elizabeth Papa and husband, Joe, Addison Talbot III and companion Peggy, 
William Talbot and companion, MariAnn, Charles Talbot and wife, Lori, George 
Talbot and wife, Rebecca and David Talbot; brother, Dr. William Talbot and 
wife, Evelyn; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death 
by daughter, Paulette Oh. Four stepchildren also survive Addison: Joyce Smith 
and husband Lonnie, Shirley Smith and husband, Edward, Anna Winter and John 
Hicks; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-
grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, September 23rd, from 4-8 p.m., at 
Mish Funeral Home.
