Eugene H. Tonnemaker 
July 1, 1925 - September 1, 2005 


Services were held for Gene Tonnemaker, 80, of Oakdale, CA who died Thursday, 
September 1, 2005 of congestive heart failure. Father Craig of St. Francis 
Parish officiated with interment at Union Cemetery, Holy Cross section. In 
attendance was the Kern County Fire Department Retirees Association, relatives 
and friends. Mr. Tonnemaker was a lifelong resident of Bakersfield and retired 
from the Kern County Fire Department as a Captain after 31 years of service 
with 25 of those years manning the Randsburg Station. He was also a Navy 
veteran of WWII in the South Pacific. His cousins, Mike Deabenderfer and 
family of Oakdale, California survive Mr. Tonnemaker. Remembrances may be made 
to the Kern County Firefighters Welfare & Benefit Association.
