Brother Mark Moore will officiate and interment will follow at Greenlawn Southwest Memorial Park. Dean was born May 10, 1932 in Bakersfield and resided here all of his life. He attended Bakersfield High School, spent time in the U. S. Coast Guard and retired as an Accountant for the U. S. Postal Service after 36 years of service. Many remember Deans winning smile and memorable sense of humor during his early years as a Window Clerk at the Main Bakersfield Post Office. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Helen Taylor; sister, Ina; and Wife JoAnn. Dean is survived by his daughters and son, Deanna Sims of Bakersfield, Ty Taylor of Arroyo Grande and Carol Youngblood of Molalla, Oregon; sisters, Miriam Ramirez of Bakersfield and Alice Ward of Santa Clarita; brothers, Dale Taylor of Bakersfield and David Taylor of Fillmore; four granddaughters; three grandsons; five great granddaughters,; one great grandson; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association. The family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses at Memorial Hospital for taking such good care of our loved one, as well as a special thank you to Janet Barnes for all of her devotion and care.
