He is remembered for his gorgeous smile, tender heart and caring nature. He graduated from West High School in 2004. His dream of becoming a fashion designer was cut short due to his sudden death. He took pride in his appearance, always sportin a fresh haircut styled by his uncle Mark Minnieweathers. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers, music, fishing and vacations. Rewarded for his diligent efforts to help his family, his mom took him on a cruise to Ensenada, Mexico in 2004. Christopher was very dear to our family, he holds a special place in the hearts of many and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Josephine Thompson; grandfather, Norman Blackwell Jr. and his uncle, David Thompson. Survivors include his parents, Adam Sr. and Tina Brooks; his brothers, Ryan C. Brown, Adam Brooks Jr., Jason Brooks and Matthew Brooks (Benny); grandmother, Mary Blackwell, all of Bakersfield, CA; grandparents, Willie and Donna Jones and grandmother, Vertine Banks, all of Inglewood, CA; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2005, from 12 p.m. 9 p.m. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2005, at 1:30 p.m., at Greenlawn Southwest Mortuary and Memorial Chapel, 2739 Panama Lane, Bakersfield, CA. Interment at Union Cemetery, 730 Potomac Ave., Bakersfield, CA. Willie Jones, Elder in the Christian Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses of Inglewood, CA, to officiate. Repast with the family at Mary Blackwells house, 1320 Potomac Ave., Bakersfield, CA at 5:00 p.m. His greatest joy was in making others happy Special acknowledgement and thanks to all our family and friends. Time and space would not allow me to acknowledtge you individually, but you know who you are. May God bless you for your kindnesses.
