Bob was a member of the Boy Scouts since the age of 12. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow and received the Boy Scouts high honor, The Silver Beaver. He was very proud that seven of his boy scouts became ministers. Bob taught Indian lore for many years. He had a great love and respect for Indians and Indian culture. He was a lifelong member of the First Assembly of God Church and served many times as deacon and church treasurer, and taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, operated the sound system, and designed and built scenery for church dramas and choir productions.
