Mary Elizabeth Cannaday

Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2005, at 10:00 a.m., in 
the Chapel Lawn area at Hillcrest Mortuary, 9109 Kern Canyon Road, 
Bakersfield, CA. Mary passed away on Sunday June 12, 2005. She was born in 
Westville, Oklahoma to Fred and Allie Thomason on December 25, 1915. She was 
preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Cannaday; grandson, Frank 
Jr.; brothers, Bill, Gerald and sister, Lorene Thomason. Mary is survived by 
her son, Frank Martell; special friend, Julie Gifford and daughter, Barbara C. 
Smith and husband, Ron; her brother, Dean and sisters, Lucille, Callie, Utha 
and many nieces and nephews. Mary also leaves behind her beloved 
grandchildren, Keri and Brad Ward, Michael and Lisa Daughtery, Wendy Taylor 
and family. Mary (Granny) will truly be a guardian angel for her great-
grandchildren, Alanna, Brayden, Kaleb, Cindy, and Mary. In lieu of flowers, 
donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Family requests no 
visitation.
