Pastor David Herrmann and the Associated Veterans if Kern County will officiate. Marvin was born January 27, 1926 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and resided in Kern County for 56 years. He was a U. S. Army Veterans of W.W. II. Marvin was a truck driver for 45 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who loved to fish. Dad was a hardworking man, who always put his family first. He will be missed very much. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith; and his parents. Marvin is survived by his daughter, Glenda Thompson; sons and daughter-in-laws, Ray Thompson and wife, Jean and Robert Thompson, all of Bakersfield; grandchildren, Marcie Etchart and husband, Beau of Bend, Oregon; Michelle Thompson of Bakersfield; Ryan Thompson of South Dakota and Sarah Thompson of Bend, Oregon; 4 great- grandchildren; brother, Robert Thompson of Wofford Heights; sister and brother-in-law, Doddie and David Porter of College Ville, Pennsylvania; numerous nieces, nephews; and loving companion, Martha Hall.
