Garld Ray Unruh was born in Bakersfield, CA to C.A. and Aileen Unruh. Garld was a graduate of North High School where he played basketball and baseball. They later divorced; Garld never re-married. Garld enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his family. Over the years, Garld enjoyed playing softball, handball, bowling and golf. A good saying was, If Garld is not at home, check the Elks Lodge. Garld lived for the moment; he always wanted to be the life of the party. Garld is survived by his son, Justin Unruh and wife, Kate; daughter, Jennifer Unruh; grand- children, Kylee and Ashlee Unruh; brother, Don Ward and wife, Loraine; sisters, Sharon Mears and husband, Norm of Florida and Marge Giacomazzi and husband, Richard of San Jose, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
