Josefina Ester Valenzuela (Josie) 
Sept. 29, 1960 - Jan. 16, 2006 

Holy Rosary will be recited Thursday, January 19th, at 6:00 p.m., at Hopson-
Anspach Family Mortuary, Lamont for Josefina Ester Valenzuela, age 45, of 
Bakersfield who passed away January 16, 2006, in Bakersfield after a long 
illness. Mass of the Christian Burial will be said, Friday, January 20th, at 
10:00 a.m., at St. Augustines Church. Fr. Schmoll will officiate and interment 
will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Josefina was born September 29, 1960 
in Bakersfield to Joseph and Armida Valenzuela. She grew-up in Lamont and 
attended Arvin High School with the class of 1978. She worked for Sunview for 
several years before being disabled. She enjoyed all kinds of music and 
dancing when she was able. She loved her family and the comfort they gave her 
and she will be dearly missed by them. She is survived by her companion, 
Javier Mondragon; father, Joseph Valenzuela; parents, Mariano and Armida 
Bermudez; son, William Santiago; daughter, Jolene Rodriguez and her son, 
Julian; brother, Mario Bermudez, Jr.; sisters, Mary Herrera and husband Johnny 
and their children, Jessica, Denise, and great-nephew, Isaiah; Leticia Smith 
and husband, Ronald and their children, Rahney, Xavery, and Trinity.
