"Sally" 1914 - 2005 Sarah E. VanWagoner (Sally) Services: Wed., Dec. 14, 10:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 14th, 10:00 a.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd. for Sarah VanWagoner. Sally, as she was called by those who knew and loved her, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2005. She was born in Castle Gate, Utah on October 22, 1914 and lived in Bakersfield for sixty years. Sally is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ellena and Steve Curran of Mesa, Arizona; and son and daughter-in-law, Dixon and Carrie VanWagoner of Bakersfield. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Amy Malizio, Megan and Tyler Ramsey, Brigham and Jenn Curran, Jeff and Marci Van Wagoner, Kelly and Dean Sommerville, Melinda and Don Massey, and Jack Slider. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brigham VanWagoner, daughter-in-law, Barbara VanWagoner and her grandson, Tim Curran. Sally also leaves 18 great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, an excellent cook, and a very accomplished seamstress and quilter. She retired from Bakersfield Junior College as a cafeteria worker and worked at the Gleaners one day a week until she was 89 years old. She was a devoted care giver to her family. Pallbearers will be Brig Curran, Jim Price, Tom Price, Jeff VanWagoner, Steve Curran, and Dixon VanWagoner.
