Mary Elizabeth Walker 
Services: Fri., Jan. 27, 11:00 a.m. 

Graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., 
Friday, January 27th at 11:00 a.m. for Mary Elizabeth Walker, 66, of 
Bakersfield, who passed away January 23, 2006 in Bakersfield. Reverend Don 
Skaggs will officiate. Mary was born in Comanche, Oklahoma on December 22, 
1939. She married James Walker on May 17, 1957. She graduated from BHS in 
1958, and together they had one son, Jim who was born on October 10, 1958. In 
1959 they moved to the Los Angeles area for a time and then after retirement 
came back home to Bakersfield in November 2004 to be around family, especially 
their grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Mom leaves behind her loving 
husband of 48 years; son, Jimmy; five grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; 
sisters, Bessie Hammons, Alice Jennings and Edna Tillery; and numerous other 
family members and friends. Mom was always happiest when she was traveling in 
their motor home, vacationing, fishing and she loved her bowling. She was a 
wonderful cook. "Mom, we love you and will miss you so much" - Your loving 
family. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at 
Greenlawn Mortuary. Greenlawn Mortuary Funeral Directors
