Born in New York on January 27, 1915, she resided in Bakersfield more than 50 years. Among her numerous community involvements were: member and past president of Symphony Associates where she began the popular Bingo games over 30 years ago; member and past president of Bakersfield Womens Club; member and past president of PEO; PTA president; volunteer librarian; and many bridge clubs. She is survived by her children, Ed Tobey of Chicago, IL; Helene Flickinger of Bakersfield; and Lynn (and Tom) Homsy of Woodland Hills, CA; and grandchildren, Lauren and David Tobey, Ed and Jon Flickinger, and Kevin and Matthew Homsy; one great- grandchild, Eddie Flickinger.
