Mildred B. Wiebe Services: Sat., Feb. 18, 10:00 a.m. Mildred Berdetta Anderson Baird Wiebe was born in Los Angeles, California on December 10, 1924 and passed away February 13, 2006, in Bakersfield, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles R. Anderson and Eleanor B. (Peyton) Anderson and her brother, Charles R. Anderson, II. The family settled in Tulare County and Mildred graduated from Tulare Union High School, the class of 1942. She moved to Bakersfield in 1945 and was a 60-year Kern County resident. Mildred worked in various aspects of the oil industry culminating in 33 years of service with the Tejon Ranch Co. After retiring in 1993 she relocated from the ranch to Bakersfield. Mildred was a charter member of The Desk and Derrick Club of Bakersfield since 1952, an active member of the Petroleum Production Pioneers, a Past President of the Kern County Historical Society, and involved in various social and service organizations. Mildred traveled extensively and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. She is survived by her three nephews, Charles, Thomas and Glenn Anderson; their mother, Anneliese Bush and her Arizona family, Aunt Genevieve Peyton; cousins, Bruce and Ruby Peyton, and Mark and Lorie Peyton. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 18, 2006, 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hoffmann Hospice, 5300 California Ave., Suite 1, Bakersfield, CA 93309 or a charity of your choice. Many thanks to her loving caregivers.
